5 Things You Must Do To Protect Your Money While Traveling Abroad (Sept 07)

One Hour Live Zoom Class: 5 Things You Must Do To Protect Your Money While Traveling Abroad

Wednesday, September 7th

5 pm PT / 6 pm MT / 7 pm CT / 8 pm ET

If there's one thing I'm passionate about - it's people's money. Earning it, saving it, protecting it and having access to it. Living abroad presents unique considerations, often things we never take into account as our only exposure is how things operate in the US. And, if we run into a significant problem in the US, we can easily pop over to our nearest local branch.

In this class we will discuss a few of the things you must do in order to protect and access your money while traveling abroad.

  • Why you should never use Google Voice for SMS short codes and your Google Voice alternatives
  • How foreign IP addresses will often block account access and why VPNs are not necessarily the solution
  • How to avoid losing access to your Paypal/Venmo/CashApp/Etc
  • What will you do if you're robbed or lose your debit/credit cards?
  • Can/will your bank be able to send a replacement card? What are other options?
  • How to avoid unnecessary fees (ATM fees, foreign transaction fees and currency conversion fees **these are three very different things)
  • Transfer options such as Wise (formerly TransferWise), Remitly, Xoom, etc. and when you'd want to use them and why

In the US we're accustomed to being able to pay nearly anything, anywhere with a credit card but that's often not the case when you're abroad. 98% of the restaurants I visit only accept cash and I buy most of my day to day groceries and produce from small shops who also don't accept credit cards and my rent has to be paid in Mexican pesos so I need to withdraw cash from the local ATMs.

In this one-hour Zoom course we'll discuss the most important things you can do to protect your money (including access). I'll also provide an action plan (checklist) and a list of resources.

The class will be offered at four different times so you can choose the one that best fits your schedule. Each date below will direct you to a unique checkout page so you receive the unique Zoom link and password for the specific date you select.

This valuable course is only $47! It will not be recorded for replay. You will also receive a digital Action Plan/Checklist and list of resources (provided during the webinar) and you'll have an opportunity to ask questions.

This checkout page is for Wednesday, September 7th @ 7 pm CT.

Mini Audit

DON'T PAY THE IRS MORE THAN NECESSARY!

I am the Olivia Pope of accounting and I'm so confident that I'll find errors in your Quickbooks Online data that I will gladly refund you if I find none. Yes, you read that right! I will refund your entire purchase of $197 if I find no errors when performing this mini audit.

Did you know that 99% of the time tax preparers do no data validation before filing your tax return. They assume that what you gave them is accurate and they're just entering the data into their tax software.

This means you are likely overpaying your taxes (rarely do I find the opposite scenario). I did one recently and when I fixed all of the mistakes we discovered an additional $11,711.31 in additional tax deductions! At a 30% tax rate my work saved the business owner $3,513 in taxes.

And what happens when I find errors? I can handle that! The rate for clean-up work is $200/hr. and I will give you an estimate before starting the project. This mini audit is 100% obligation free.

2022 taxes are already filed? If the mistakes cause substaintial changes you may benefit from an amended tax return. (But we'll cross that bridge when we get there)

With over 26 years doing accounting and bookkeeping, we’ve identified 25 common errors in small business books across multiple industries — and turned it into a nifty service that makes it easier to start working with us.

With this mini audit we'll peform a detailed, in-depth review of your financial statements. We'll send a video(s) outlining the problems which need to be fixed. There are two types of errors: those with a tax impact and those without a tax impact. We'll identify and explain each error in our videos.

If you know (or suspect) there are problems that need to be fixed, then you'll want our tax time clean-up instead. (link here) or if you prefer we can work together on Zoom for two hours to do the full audit service. (schedule your session here)

You'll need to do just three things in order for us to fulfill your order. Take a peek at what those three items are here

No errors? No problem. I'll immediately refund your money!

Consider it handled,

Tax Time Tidy-Up

You know or suspect things are not accurate on your financial statements and you want it fixed BEFORE TAX SEASON. Pay us to fix the mistakes NOW!

We'll perform our Deep Dive 25 service and we'll jump right in to fix anything that will have a negative impact on your tax return. In nearly instance we find that business owners are paying too much in income taxes due to inaccurate financial statements.

Important notes:

We won't fix anything that has no tax impact but we will alert you to what those things are so you can decide if you'd like us to fix them after tax time.

Most clean-up jobs run between $500 and $900 unless you're paying personal expenses out of the business. If you indicate you are paying personal expenses from the business on the intake form then we'll need to talk just a bit more before I jump in (I'll email you).

Your payment of $500 is a deposit on the work needed to clean things up. We will send you an invoice for any difference upon completion OR we'll send a progress invoice if we find the work greatly exceeds the scope of our typical clean-up projects.

And, if we find there's very little work - we'll send you a refund too. We're fair and our integrity is EVERYTHING to us.

This service is best suited for anyone who knows or suspects there are mistakes and/or reconciliations that haven't been done and you just want things fixed. No muss, no fuss.

You'll need to send us just three things in order for us to fulfill your order. Take a peek at what those three items are here
